Empowering Underserved Communities through Holistic Health and Cultural Healing

History & Why MOYPA

From Vision to Reality: Bridging Communities and Well-Being

Founded in 2024 by local community leaders, Moypa—meaning “to bloom” in the Popoluca (Núntahá´yi o Tuncapxe) language—empowers BIPOC communities and immigrants through holistic well-being. Just as a flower blooms with the proper nourishment, Moypa aims to provide the essential support needed for communities to thrive.

Through partnerships and empowerment initiatives, Moypa supports communities in healing from historical traumas, and promoting equity and well-being.

Our Mission

With a commitment to ancestral healing, we empower priority communities to achieve generation wealth while nurturing their overall mental and physical health. Through education and access to resources, we pave the way for lasting community prosperity and holistic well-being.

Our commitment to the community

The principle of inclusivity drives our work—we walk alongside the community, not as external benefactors, but as partners. Recognizing that systemic disparities and historical traumas have hindered community growth and prosperity, we aim to dismantle these barriers with local leaders and individuals.

Our holistic approach

Well-being is multifaceted, and each aspect of a person’s life affects the others. We believe true empowerment and well-being come from addressing the full spectrum of factors influencing an individual’s life.

Our holistic approach spans from the individual to the macro level, ensuring we uncover the origins of current challenges and heal from inherited trauma.
